Baz 0 Posted December 2, 2012 Report Share Posted December 2, 2012 Hi everyone,My interior light has started to come on when the door is closed, the smaller map light next to it flickers & now the rear indicators & rear fog light come on when I press the brake pedal instead of the brake lights !Has anyone else had this, is there a module that controls the lights ?Thanks for any help.Baz Link to post Share on other sites
Lukey. 381 Posted December 2, 2012 Report Share Posted December 2, 2012 Sounds like you may have an earth problem rather than the lights all being related. You need a continuity tester to check that the earths are not dodgy. Link to post Share on other sites

Lukey. 381 Posted December 2, 2012 Report Share Posted December 2, 2012 The simplest way to determine is to get a long piece of wire, clip it to the negative battery terminal and at the lights connect the other end of this wire to the earth wire and see if the problem goes away, if it does then you know where to begin from making a better earth connection. A safer way is to connect the terminal end of the wire to an unpainted piece of chassis metal, but this relies on the main earth to the battery being solid. Link to post Share on other sites
