sedge 7 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Share Posted December 17, 2012 just thought I'd post up and see what people thought, I got a quote today from a local gearbox specialist to replace the final drive gear. if I give them the vr6 box and a g60 box they'll swap the final drive for £200 plus vat so £240 I guess all together. does this sound a fair price? I guess I'm just purely paying for labour. and heard they are pretty good so if anything else needs replacing while its apart they would ring and let me know. Link to post Share on other sites

I'm not sure if they garage has done any old vw boxes though because they said as long as they fit they can do it.
