ssaunders 199
Hi all, I have tried to bleed all the air from system by leaving it running with cap off for about 20 minute but still get a gurgling noise behind dash on switch off! Sounds like the old girl has indigestion! It doesn't seem to hurt its just annoying.I know it's the secondary pump, does it just pump round the head or whole system on switch off?Cheers for any suggestions.Steve
rsweeney 40
I am having exactly the same problem on my vr6 , it doesnt overheat atall stays steady at 90 yet im getting this gurgling noise. The heater matrix is not leaking atall as carpets are dry as a bone and its not loosing any coolant.Interested to see what people think
Lukey. 381
Mine does it too on turn off and I know it's fully bled, I think it's just the aux pump taking up the slack as the bigger main pump stops.
Vw_owner 1
my vr's have never done that, maybe try unplugging the aux pump and see what happens then?,
Lukey. 381
I tried that, with the aux pump unplugged nothing can be heard, its only when the aux pump is connected and on after-run that the noise is heard.
