Daverse 175
Are they standard compression pistons?
matty.vrt 120
How are you achieving 3.1? As the largest pistons normally for a vr6 are 83.mm which make a true 3 litre. Or are you running 82.5mm with r32 crank?
Lukey. 381
I saw a VR6 that had been reworked on eBay that was 3.2 capacity and dyno'd about 240hp.
matty.vrt 120
R32's use 84mm pistons so if you had a 12v with 83.5mm pistons and r32 crank you would be near as dam it but the r32 has a far better head and higher compression so what's the point. You may as well fit a r32 motor it would be cheaper in the end.
yakuza racer 16
not sure how you fellas do this but im running BMW pistons with a little higher .cr , its been tested and tried many times round our parts and the cost works out to around £100 , another alternative is using the Nissan sr20 DET pistons which is 84mm, and the BMW pistons is 83.5mm, my previous vr6 was running the nissan pistons at 84mm.the one im busy with is more a 3L+ using the BMW pistons. you have to machine the pistons as well to clear, about 3mm on each of them and the crank is a 2.9L vr crank. the crank is polished and big ends and mains are 20 thou oversize, using OEM parts.
