not sure how you fellas do this but im running BMW pistons with a little higher .cr , its been tested and tried many times round our parts and the cost works out to around £100 , another alternative is using the Nissan sr20 DET pistons which is 84mm, and the BMW pistons is 83.5mm, my previous vr6 was running the nissan pistons at 84mm.

the one im busy with is more a 3L+ using the BMW pistons. you have to machine the pistons as well to clear, about 3mm on each of them and the crank is a 2.9L vr crank. the crank is polished and big ends and mains are 20 thou oversize, using OEM parts.
