I think all will be fine when u replace the ABS pump. Similar problem to one on my mates golf.

Yeah - if your pump is not working then that's your problem.

have you ran it through VAG-COM and seen if any other error codes are stored relating to the ABS?

i used VAG-COM: it show me error with pump. Then i replaced ABS unit with ABS pump - ABS dont work. Then i used VAG-COM and recode my ABS unit using code, which i take from my old ABS unit. Then ABS will work correctly Thaks for the help. Sorry for my english
