Gordo91 0
Does it usually bring up codes for the MAF? Not had a chance to get a code reader on it yet but will be in the next few days as its driving me mad
VR6Pete 1,455
MAF doesn't usually bring up a fault code. Is your car obd1 or 2? I've heard of ISV valve causing issues like this coming off the gas on odb1 or possibly a vacuum leak possibly?
Gordo91 0
Its an obd2 mate, shal need to be checked soon its so annoying!
VR6Pete 1,455
MAF I'd say. There was a procedure that you can use some if the measuring blocks to see if the MAF was performing as well as it should be, but it escapes me.... Good news is you can pick the obd2 MAFs up cheaply enough, or if you have any friends in your area who has one you can try, even better. . It's a fairly easy thing to change over

Lukey. 381
I actually read this yesterday in the Ross tech wiki, it's quite basic and rough though, its that you log the MAF reading in a redline pass in second gear, the g/s reading should be 0.8 of your engines horsepower, ie 175hp should be about 140g/s. Woodyman84 3
I bought 2 second hand mafs before giving up an getting a genuine one for 110 was much much better, if can afford it I'd go genuine. Just my 2 cents
