964russ 0 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Share Posted March 24, 2013 Recently got a vr6 highline, it had a cheap cone filter.The breather pipe was left hanging!So ive found the correct k&n, this has a pipe to connect the breather but allso has a vw sensor fitted to it.This sensor, wots it for? Temp?Does it connect to the plug on the top of the breather, the cold start valve thingy.Ill take a pic in the morning.Thanks. Link to post Share on other sites

Top left corner of crankcase into concertina (PCV) then into plastic intake before throttle? If so then Pete is right, looks like a sensor but isn't, I haven't blanked mine and don't know the pro's and cons are but some people use a catch can, it basically passes excess gas from crankcase back into intake to reduce emissions.RegardsSteve Link to post Share on other sites
