VR6Pete 1,455
After many months of discussing and planning the clubs future, we have some solid plans to make 2013 a really good year for all club members. This is a key year for VR6OC following poor attendance at some of the club events during the last couple of year, however we put this down to the recession, cost of attending events such as fuel cost, and people moving on with their lives / cars. Looking ahead to 2013A key objective for 2013 is to bring back the "club feeling" and encourage everyone to attend events, we appreciate that not everyone is keen on the "big shows" such as Ultimate Dubs, GTI International, so we will be looking to organizing club displays at smaller venues throughout the year, furthermore, we will also be hosting our own Rolling Road day, and we are currently investigating hosting other events such as Rolling Road Days, Driving Days and organizing a national day at the historic Brooklands Museum to replace our "Billing Mega Meet". VR6OC Team ChangesAs many will know, the club has now been running for over 9 years, we felt some changes were necessary for the ever changing times, and to keep things "fresh" behind the scenes, all this with the introduction of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc... and to accommodate for the new generation of owners that come through our doors. As part of the re-structure, we are pleased to announce some changes and following people are now part of the VR6OC family, who each bring unique skills and experience to The VR6 Owners Club.Michael Ratcliffe, AKA michael5556Michael has contributed greatly to the club over the years, offering club members discounts through his company TCR Motorsport and recently taking up the role of content creator for our Facebook page and Twitter page, Michael has a lot of enthusiasm for the club, and has been there helping out our members at Ultimate Dubs 2013, despite not having a finished car to display on the club stand this year. Michael will also assist with organising and promoting club events and giving the club a new lease of life throughout 2013. Gethin Evans AKA VIW28Gethin has been a long time contributing member of the website, who also brings a host of experience from his involvement running and organising events for GTINI / Dubshed.Gethin will step up along-side Michael and give the club some direction based of his past experience and assist with organising and promoting club events across UK & NI.Club DisplaysWe need you to support your club and attend the shows we organise, one thing that was apparent last year was the number of people who registered an interest in displaying their car on club stands, and then not turning up on the day. This is very harmful to the club as it damages our reputation with event / show organises due to low turnout for our club. We encourage everyone on the forum to come to our meets & events to display your car on the club displays. There is a common myth that people believe that because their car isn’t a “show car†and has A1 bodywork / paintwork that they cannot display on our club displays. We welcome any VR6 engine car to our club displays, this can range from totally standard to fully modified cars, no matter what condition they are in.We are everyday people, who drive every day cars, our club is not just about the cars, it's about people making friends and having a good time at the our meets and events.Club Membership ChangesWe have recently made some changes to the Club Membership process. When you become a club member or renew your club membership, you can now select from any the following free gifts!• Inside Vinyl Window Sticker• Outside Vinyl Window Sticker• Vinyl Tax Disk HolderWe have made some changes to make renewing your membership even easier.Your club membership will automatically renew every 12 months if funds are available in your PayPal account, this works in the same way as a Spotify / Netflix subscription works. If you have renewed and wish to receive your renewal membership pack (which will contain a free gift as a thank you for your continued support) simply complete the form in the link below:Request new Membership Pack here Optionally, if you wish to cancel your membership, you can do so by navigating to the following page and clicking "Cancel Subscription".Manage / Cancel your MembershipPlease note your subscription is always active, and will automatically renew unless you cancel your membership with The VR6 Owners Club and you no longer wish to be a Club Member. Please note that upon cancelling your membership, your access to the restricted areas on the website will be removed and you will no longer be able to take advantage of the great benefits / discounts we offer club members, refunds will not be given if you fail to cancel your membership prior to automatic renewal should you wish to cancel.Club ShopWe have now received stock of new window stickers (inside and outside vinyl in an etched glass effect) along with an all new design VR6OC tax disc holders.Over the coming week, these items will soon be available from the on-line shop, and also at events we attend where our Membership Secretary or Shop manager is in attendance. Please feel free to discuss and share your thoughts on the above, we hope you will continue to support the club over the coming year by attending the shows and contributing to the forums, lets make 2013 the best year yet! Many Thanks,The VR6 Owners Club Team

VR6Pete 1,455
This is more of the things I want to organise, not everyone likes the main shows, and they do get a bit boring after a while
spadam 7
Cheap campsite in wales approx £15 a night most are anyway and fuel for the trip.Limit it to 200 miles and you should only use 1 tank for the weekend + travel to destination if from scotland etc.Be a great weekend not to epxensive and get to see some nice sights and roads with like minded people. VR6Pete 1,455
Think its time we did some route planning, maybe have 2 a year, one a day out, other a weekend think so route / distance should be adjusted to suit accordingly.
Earwig 89
Looks good for the new year. I will hopefully attend a lot more shows this year. I said at the turn of last year that I would get to more shows this year and I still plan on it :-)
Earwig 89
Oh, forgot to say, I really do like the idea of having trips out around the countryside as opposed to just regular shows which we all know can become tedious seeing the same cars year in year out.Much boils down to cost though as was pointed out in the opening post, with the recession hitting us and it's not like we drive the most economical cars do we ? haha. VR6Pete 1,455
We are looking to doing it as cheap as possible.... Driving weekend will be epic with the route we are planning. We are also arranging a trip to Brooklands and rolling road day will be hopefully in June. Time to mix things up this year.
