p.s it's got a ported head and 270degree cams a bmc cda carbon air box and a stainless system if that makes any difference

start by checking leads and coilpack....wait till its dark then start the engine and lightly spray water all over the leads and pack and watch for sparks.

also, check they're plugged on properly.

if not, then you need to get the diagnostics read with vag-com or 1551 tool...it could be a number of things so best to do this than guess.

mines doing exactly the same miss/hessitation. it misses regardless of what speed the engine is running tho? checked coil pack no arcing, changed plugs, changed the leads twice! still no better, although when i run it on 95ron fuel it runs terrible so i always put optimax in which doesnt cure it but makes it run smoother! its going on a vag com next week so hopefuly that'll shed some light on the problem.

hall sender clean might clear the misfire.also take the black covers off your VOLTAGE STABILISER RELAY-109 and FUEL PUMP RELAY 167.examine it around the soldered joints-this promotes a poor signal.did all the above and other stuff mentioned.problem solved.
