cpfcvr6 6 Posted March 27, 2013 Report Share Posted March 27, 2013 hi, changed the plugs today and they are black which indicates its runnign rich, ive also noticed a 15-20 miles less on a fill up of fuel, any ideas why? going to clean the maf but any other tips? golf vr6 obd1. VR6Pete 1,455 Posted March 27, 2013 Report Share Posted March 27, 2013 I know if the blue thermo temp sensor is faulty it could cause it to over fuel, and also if you have a low temp thermostat, it will take longer to warm up, so will throw more fuel in. Link to post Share on other sites

ssaunders 199 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Share Posted March 28, 2013 Hi, mine was running rich, stank of petrol and took ages to settle to idle, vag com said no issue turned out it was dodgy thermostat, changed blue sensor and nearly everything else.
