Woodyman84 3
Hey just thought id post this upits an interesting read. like i said im not sure what effects this would have. One day when i have a spare one laying about i might give it a try.PS sorry its a link to another forumhttp://www.dubnetworks.net/showthread.php?t=1254
VR6Pete 1,455
I do recall reading this a while back and thought it was pretty extreme... would be interesting to see before and after RR results to see if it was worth the hassle
Daverse 175
Im not too sure, I mean I'm all for removing casting marks and polishing them up like on heads e,t,c But VW wouldn't put metal fins in there for no reason.
Lukey. 381
I don't see what that would do because the smallest part of the bottleneck (the throttle itself) is still exactly the same size.
Woodyman84 3
True although a larger area the otherwise of the throttle body may encourage a faster less turbulent flow of air during wot. Tbh I'm completely guessing an I doubt there would be much difference. But if it's free to do then I'd probably give it a try just to say I have. An I just happen to know a welding man that can :-)
MaidenVR6 26
This is an old modification to make your 2.8 inlet as a 2.9.Its so little gain vs the hassle and job its not worth it in my opinion. You might gain a little on it and with cams and software adjustment it will help. And if you have a spare, you can always make one as a fun project, polish and paint it ready to mount. Just for fun
