Batler182 1
Hi guys,I've got a new problem now! I've fixed the overfueling which turned out to be dodgy wiring but now it cuts out when it reaches 95 degrees. It doesn't cut out straight away but it slowly start stuttering and the revs drop and rise constantly. If I give it any revs it'll just cut out. It will start again but cuts out straight away. It will idle if I start it with some throttle. My friend thinks its the crank position sensor but if its that I thought it wouldn't start at all? There's no codes coming up so any suggestions? VR6Pete 1,455
Are you obd1 or obd2 mate?
michael5556 247
He is obd1 also isv has been cleaned out. Which wasn't help the first idle problem. Now it's idling fine. But still slightly overfueling. But when it's up to temp and you give it any revs it will cough splitter and die...That's why I thought cam sensor
Gefstar 1
Have you checked the throttle position sensor? Not sure why it would be affected by temperature though.. Next I would check the intake temperature sensor but the fact you are getting no error codes makes it stranger still. Have you checked the fuel pressure when the engine is up to temp? Or the oxygen sensor? Just trying to think of things that would be affected by temperature ... I'll check the Bentley to see what it says
michael5556 247
Tps sensor did come up on vag com but a different 109 relay and 167 fuel pump relay have sorted that along with cleaning isv and throttle. So it's not there anymore..
Gefstar 1
PCV or Oxygen sensor next then!! ... Check it, rule it out and move onto the next!!
Batler182 1
Cars taken a step backwards. It's now showing up injector 6 open or short to ground. It did this before then it randomly went away after I fiddled with the injectors. Now it's back I'm sure it must be a dodgy wire in the injector harnessEdit- what's the pcv? Gefstar 1
See this link to the Bentley forums for info on the PCVhttp://tech.bentleypublishers.com/message.jspa?messageID=248719The PCV is a breather that comes out of the back of the cam cover near the throttle body. It causes no end of issues with idling etc...I will try and get an image or link to another post on the forum..
