Front fender

Does anyone else HATE the plastic fender at the base of the front bumper ( ~) ?

Here are the two reasons why I hate it:

1. It shatters if you catch it on anything.

2. It keeps falling off.

Does anyone know any solution, like an aftermarket fender all in one piece that wont fall off. Our car has been on the road for 13 years, its on about its 10th fender!!

sounds like yours isn't the original to me....the genuine vw ones are pretty tough, the copies tend to last all of 5 mins.

if your car is mega low though, only thing you can do is get the later smaller type.

anywhere other than vw do the originals? as mines seen better days. do these also come on cabrios as ive seen a couple over this week and theyve had em.

We know the cars been lowered on the springs, it's about an inch lower than with the standard suspension, but still, I really dont think it should break that easily. The one on it now is broken, it was broken when my dad bought the car 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, weve bought a full set of standard VR6 susp, to un-lower it, Ill see what happens after that, cheers for the posts.
