Woodyman84 3
My new alloys are 17 40s old ones 15 50sSo 2 inches bigger on rim...about 50mmBut 80mm of rubber overall diameter compared to 100 on old rimsI make.that an overall diameter of 30mm more which will mean I will be traveling slightly faster than my Speedo indicates? Or negligible difference?
SAW 3
You'll be travelling slightly slower than what the speedo indicates because the rolling radius has been increased.
Lukey. 381
Its a 10mm difference in overall diameter, anything within +/- 2.5% is negligible. That's assuming the old and new are both 205 cross section.
