daxmatt 0 Posted May 11, 2013 Report Share Posted May 11, 2013 Hi all just been and ordered a new coolant bottle and thought I would get some g12+ while I'm there, however its now discontinued and its now g13 is this as good or better ? Didn't get any while there as my bottle won't be in till next week so came home and did a search on here to find any info out but while doing that I have seen people are using de ionized water, is this now the done thing instead of tap water as done before and Weres best to get it from, in short tap water or de ionized, and g13 or another alternativeCheers Link to post Share on other sites
Woodyman84 3 Posted May 11, 2013 Report Share Posted May 11, 2013 I'm using de ionized water. Quite cheap from halfrauds an g13 from my local vw supplier. Deionised water is just to reduce furring in the system. It's not a must but it will prolong the life of the coolant system Link to post Share on other sites
Lukey. 381 Posted May 11, 2013 Report Share Posted May 11, 2013 G13 just supersedes G12plusplus. When I change I get 3 bottles of that and a bottle or 2 of halfords battery top up water. Ideal concentration is about 45% so 3 bottles of G13 makes 45%. Link to post Share on other sites
