Woodyman84 3
Ok apologies for being in here every 5 minutes at the moment Not long ago i had the almost cutting out thing, bunny hoppingFound a loose relay all seemed fine.Well its done it twice more to me since, and rather embarassingly my Mrs has spotted what could be the issueEvery time it has done this the Fuel gauge has just been goin into the redDid it this morning and i was close to a garage, put fuel in and absolutely fineSo it does seem like a fuel starvation issue, but its odd that its started doing it as ive driven it into the red plenty of times with no issues at all.Im thinking maybe a bit of fuel cleaner maybe my first stopIm hoping its not a pump or anything, (cant hear any whining etc)once again any suggestions welcome! Lukey. 381
Could be from running into the red and the pump, the petrol kind of acts like lubrication and coolant for it, but if you say you can't hear any whining then maybe not, as an aside for comparison mine makes a high pitched whirring whether empty or brimmed and never had any issue with it. VR6Pete 1,455
If you've done this more than once, you might have dragged some crap through into your fuel filter that could be contributing to this?
Lukey. 381
Excellent point about the filter, I've read many things that said changing the fuel filter has remedied bogging, stuttering etc, worth doing anyway as a matter of course so def worth doing anyway and could sort your issue.
