HTWVR6 0 Posted April 18, 2005 Report Share Posted April 18, 2005 I ve searched the forum but i never no really where to start in the engine department, s any help will be greatly receivedi would like to take my VR6 up to around 200BHP, what sort of engine Mods should i be looking at? Do some mods vary performance gains from VR-VRMy summer Hols have been cancelled so the cash saved up is going on my car! Thats about as far as you can go without spending around a grand on a Shrick variable inlet manifold or big valve head. Link to post Share on other sites

VR6Pete 1,455 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Just a Dastek wont give you much of a power gain, maybe a smoother pull up the range but not alot, it really comes into play when you have other mods though...The Phirm are highly recommended as well as Stealth Racing (http://www.stealthracing.co.uk) I cant say I've had much dealing with AMD (apart from when they tried to sell me an enlarged throttle body for my OBD2) Link to post Share on other sites

HTWVR6 0 Posted April 21, 2005 Author Report Share Posted April 21, 2005 I popped to THE PHIRM, brillant guys! they did some work to fix my leaks and for once it worked!!!They recommended a de-cat and induction kit for the time being and said its very good.
