Hello,

I have just completed my OBD2 conversion on my Corrado VR6 and I'm a little concerned by my throttle body.

Long story short the conversion went sweet, then yesterday when I was playing about I dropped a spanner and it shorted the two battery terminals. As far as I'm aware it's done no damage...

But...When I first did my conversion and I aligned the throttle body I swear the butterfly fully opened 100% then closed again. Where as now when I align the throttle body it literally moves a few cm then closes again.

It also moves a few cm's, (buzzes and clicks - exactly like it's doing an alignment) every time the ignition is switched on.

My question is, what should it actually be doing?

Also, whether its related or not; should the ECU remember the learned values within vagcom. Such as the lambda idle learned value, etc?

My OBD2 TB always clicks and hums when I switch on - just like doing an alignment. Doesn't seem to be a problem, even if I don't wait for it to finish, so don't think that's a problem. It never opens to the 90 degrees I expected, maximum is 81.9 on mine - think this is normal. Not sure if 100% takes account of this - ie is 100% 81.9 or a theoretical 90...?

My ECU only remembers 'Part throttle' learned on VCDS, not idle. Don't know if this is right or not, but again, doesn't seem a problem. I did find that if the Carbon canister valve (N80?) isn't plugged in it won't learn at all, so I've plugged in an old one (no canister though).

Yes I believe any DTC's has an impact on the ecu learned values, could be wrong but that's what I'm lead to believe.

My corrado following the obd2 upgrade also hums etc... Upon ignition on, I'm currently down on power due to other reasons so can't comment any further, come the rolling road day and get it on the rollers see what it's putting out.
