sleepymike 15 Posted May 30, 2013 Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 Before I reveal my dyno power figures I'm just wondering roughly what sort of power I should be getting, so here's a quick spec listOBD1 VR6 engine converted to coilpackSchimmel front intakeSiemens 630 injectors8.5.1 spacerGt3076 turbo. O.62A/r hot side Omex managementVW plug leads 4" air filter 3" exhaust right through2.5" intercooler pipesSpa exhaust manifold38mm tial wastegate02m 6spd 4wd gear box.Suggestions from other people running similar setups and there power figures would be very helpful, thanks Link to post Share on other sites

russj249 2 Posted May 30, 2013 Report Share Posted May 30, 2013 I would say around the 400bhp mark and around 360ft lbs torque!I've got a very similar spec with a custom short runner, 8.5/1 comp, 3 inch exhaust, 4inch maf and filter, with a GT3582r, but with standard OBD1 management and Bosch 440cc injectors (at 4bar), at 14psi with 354bhp and 340ft lbs torque.Can you spill the beans now? sleepymike 15 Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2013 480bhp seriously?Well I only managed to get 355bhp with 370ftlb of torque. It seems as if by 5500 the turbo has reached it's max power.Also forgot to mention it has a set of Autotech 262 cams fitted aswell!The guy that maps it normally does Subaru rally cars so maybe he is missing something or as the turbo is only a gt30 the A/R housing is way to small.I think I need to take it to someone more clued up to the VW scene.Anyone got suggestions? I'm running standard ams too, half a bar less boost than you , standard management tuned by Stealth Racing and have a little more power? Link to post Share on other sites

UnitedMotorsport 55 Posted May 31, 2013 Report Share Posted May 31, 2013 Sorry I read the AR of the turbine as 0.82 as you must mean yours is a 0.630.63 is FAR to small for a ~3 litre engine, it will choke at high revs. the 0.82 is also too small if your going for numbers.I just looked through a collection of dyno sheets here and the closest one to your spec. made 360hp at 1 bar of boost.
