dom.joy 87
This might be a dumb question but looking at a samco hose kit and theres only one kit listed for vr6 SAMTCS109/C-B, Mine is a '97 OBD2 VR6.My question is it states a chassis number in the description 1H-SW385-334/088-705 is this the last VR6 so it includes all, or is it the last OBD1 so not include OBD2?Cheers, bit of a noob still
Lukey. 381
Here is the sticker off my box, obviously its for black hoses 8-)
dom.joy 87
Yours OBD2?
Lukey. 381
Yes, but the kit is the same regardless, if you're OBD2 you have a small S-shaped hose left over for from the crankcase breather to throttle hose.
VR6Pete 1,455
Worth noting you don't get oil cooler hoses in the kit, but highly recommend you purchase these separately as these will become the weak point once you replace the other hoses. The part numbers are TB0580 and TB0581 and will come to around £24, you can get them from Merlin Motorsport.
dom.joy 87
Ah fantastic. Thanks for that mate, may aswell get the full set and do it properlyJust looking and cant seem to find the extra 2 hoses from Merlin?
Lukey. 381
Even just replacing them with new oem ones will prob be ok, I didn't know about the 2 oil cooler hoses when I did mine and replaced them just with genuine items.
VR6Pete 1,455
You will need to call them and quote the part numbers, don't think they are listed on the website. They are twice the thickness of the standard hoses, a bit hairy fitting to the crack pipe, so make sure you have a replacement on standby just incase you break it... its not called the "crack pipe" for nothing
