GordonC 20
Theres a problem with the alternator so just to check can anybody tell me does the thick wire from the alternator go to the positive on the starter or the earth on the bellhousing ? The small blue wire is plugged in fine.
michael5556 247
Too the starter dude this thing looks epic.
GordonC 20
Right so has anyone had this problem before, I've tried to bleed the clutch and it does have a bit of a feel to it but when you lift off the pedal its really slow coming back up like if I flick my foot up off it the pedal stays behind and slowly comes back up ? I'm pretty sure I've got all the air out it as its just fluid coming through and there isnt really any visable signs of the master or slave leaking either. Its a brand new fast road clutch so I would expect it to be a bit heavy but its not Does anybody have any ideas ?
VR6Pete 1,455
Hi mate. Only time that's ever happened to me is with a faulty slave cylinder. Have you removed it and checked operation? Club Chairman
GordonC 20
So I finally got the buggy ready and decided since it was a nice day that we would take it out and test it to see if theres any little problems we need to fix. The closed road we took it to wasnt the biggest and it was so fast I could only get into second gear but OMG the thing is a rocket !! I'll let the videos do the talking lolhttp://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid557.photobucket.com/albums/ss14/GordonC-Zs/20131010_161609_zps7f3d0a19.mp4This one is testing the grip and to see how well it launches off the linehttp://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid557.photobucket.com/albums/ss14/GordonC-Zs/20131010_165005_zps0a9e3f98.mp4Comments welcome

GordonC 20
Well just a quick update. Got a few things done, Relocated the battery to the front to try and put a bit of weight on the front wheelsAnd I finally managed to sort out the gear linkage after 2 days of messing about with it. Was a complete nightmare but its much better than what I originally had. Also welded in a new bar for the rear of the harness to bolt onto as it was far too lowThats it so far now I just have the gauges and switches left to wire in then its ready to race on sunday VR6Pete
GordonC 20
Well got the switch panel fitted and all wired up with the gauges in it aswell. Fitted my Omex rev limiter with launch control aswell. Cant wait to see the flames when I use the L/C on the start line lolNeed to order a new steering wheel, some paint and a digital dash/speedometer. GordonC 20
Looks like an LSD is needed too.Yeah I was thinking about that aswell or can you just take the diff out and weld it so that its permanently locked as its only for the quarter mile nothing else ?
Daverse 175
never heard of welding diff on an o2j/a.. but suppose its possible. i would always be worried about damaging the engine with that though, at least a lsd allowsa little bit of slip
