Winks 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Report Share Posted April 24, 2005 My cars the same when cold sounds like theres a plug out, better when hot but still there!When you let it idle almost goes away but as soon as you take the revs up back it comes.Have changed the following in this order:Plugs-LeadsVW Tech scan showed G40 Hall sender, Changed (still there)Coil PackChain Tension boltVW Tech scan again no faults showing!!!!!!!!Still there!!!!!!!!Cleaned:Air Flow MeterThottle BodyHas any one got any ideasHelp before I go insane!!!!!!!" acf8181 0 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Share Posted April 25, 2005 then it wasn't hall sender casuing it.i'd look at leads and coilpack first (spray water over them at night with engine running and look for sparks)...also check for any damaged vacuum tubes (theres one that goes from throttle body to airbox that can easily get burnt on ex manifold)...amd if its obd1 clean the ISV.
