Hofmiester 4 Posted August 15, 2013 Report Share Posted August 15, 2013 Setting up the belt for my charger install and i'd get better wrapage of the charger pulley if I can route the belt the other way on the alternator pulley. Basically turning it backwards. Seen several pics online with belts installed this way around, but just want to check 100% Link to post Share on other sites
Lukey. 381 Posted August 15, 2013 Report Share Posted August 15, 2013 The science of the alternator does not change with direction, but the cooling fins might be angled for the original direction. Not sure if they are directional or centrifugal. Link to post Share on other sites
