UnitedMotorsport 55
What are you trying to ask? I really don't understand your post.
Daverse 175
I think you just put a relay on for the pump on the haldex clutch, then just put a switch across that.

nedvrt 25
ah yeah i rember you showed me how you kept the subframe straight with the threaded bar, that helped alot thanks matey, and just questions like weather to keep the mk4 subframe or try and find a syncro subframe, cant seem to find any tho
sleepymike 15
Dont syncro subframes bolt straight into mk1 golfs?
nedvrt 25
im not to sure, would like to find out as that would save a headake lol
sleepymike 15
I'm sure I read a build thread on a mk1 r32 4wd conversion somewhere and they fitted a syncro subframe. Thinking back though maybe they had to shorten it a little. Either way i reckon it would be easier than trying to fit a mk4 subframe fit.
nedvrt 25
really if so il defo try and hunt one down lol i was goin to just make mounts for the mk4 suspension and you used your mk3 subframe up front ? what length did you have to shorten the O/S driveshaft down to ? sleepymike 15
Yeah I used a mk3 VR subframe upfront so I could keep the power steering but used mk2 bottom arms and hubs etc to keep it narrow track and 4 stud. I had to get both drive shafts modified as the inner cv's are mk4 and the outers are mk2 golf, absolutely no idea on length I'm afraid but easy to measure and get made once everything is fitted. nedvrt 25
ah okay, do u litrally just cut them to length and then sleeve them or that and do they need balancing ?
sleepymike 15
Don't know mate I just took them to a specialist driveshaft place and told them what I wanted. But the 3 solid ones do have some kind of sleeve on them with what looks like its been threaded on!
