Daverse 175
Sounds like immobiliser mate. that will let the engine run for a few seconds then cut out. not sure why it sometimes wont start though. have you had it on vagcom?
Wazzoo 2
Do they have a built in immobiliser? Because there is no aftermarket alarm or anything on it
VR6Pete 1,455
Yup. They do buddy. If you have faffing around you've probably knocked something. There's a coil around ignition barrel follow the wire down and give it a clean and ensure plugged in, it should go to a black box which is your immobiliser. vagcom will confirm the issue though for sure. daxmatt 0
Ok on the first pic the wire on the left is from the ignition, the second pic shows the box were it goes into this you see as I have the heater vent out so its just under there stick your hand in and you will be able to feel it
Wazzoo 2
Will have a look but to be honest I didn't go anywhere near that. I was attempting to put stereo in and then tried startin and nothin atall???
daxmatt 0
Did you use the ISO fit plugs or just joined wires, could have fused some thing, check your fuses and see if anything has popped
Wazzoo 2
I joined wires, I know the stereo fuse blew but not sure on any others. Why else could prevent it from startin?
