rbertnitro 0
Hi ive got the mot coming up very soon. My rust inspection went well and theres no major worries.Except for a patch down where the rear arch meets the quarter panel and rearmost part of sill, its been bubbly for a while andrecently a piece broke off revealing a small cavity.it seems as if this part is double skinned or has become delaminated or something as its not penetrating thru to the inside, theres just a little pocket inside the bubble. So far i have used some kurust inside to turn it black and stem the rust spread. Is this area something that will fail an mot, oris it an idea to get it welded or even fill it before hand?sorry i dont have a pic Thanks
VR6Pete 1,455
Hi mate. Not 100% sure if it's an mot fail, however sounds like it needs some urgent attention to stop it spreading, especially with winter approaching. I'd imagine you would be best taking it back and remediate the rust and patch her up. I had a spot of the rust on my rear arch and it kept coming back Club Chairman
mattvr6 133
If the hole is no bigger than a water drain hole then I'd just advise it but any bigger than that it should b a fail I'm afraid if it's where I'm thinking its close enough to the seat belt points aswell Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
