Marneus 78
The ABS pump is fubar so I've sourced another which I've been told will fit with recoding. Hopefully that will be here on Tuesday so I can get her back on the road. Even though it's an auto I miss driving my Golf now
Marneus 78
Well, one ABS pump changed & it's still throwing up the exact same codes as before. Namely both hydraulic pump & terminal 30 supply signals outside specification. I've got one more pump/ECU to try but if that doesn't work I don't know what to do....... jamesw6810 80
Do the pump and ecu match? and have you reset the codes?
Marneus 78
Yeah everything matches & recoded. Codes cleared. All ok for 1/2 a mile then lights come on again
jamesw6810 80
Have you looked at the connector pins on the multiplugs, given them a squirt with electrical contact cleaner and a cotton bud wipe, and reconnect. The 2 fuses aswell, are they ok, although if the light goes out they should be.... The supply signal suggests the ecu is dead, but youve had that done, or their is a wiring fault which is why the connector cleaning could work due to no signal if the pins are gunked up. Marneus 78
Just a thought. I've replaced the pump with one that ends 217 C. The original ended 217 E, I've been told that as the ECU has the same number & that 217 C superseded 217 E then it should all work.... How did you do yours mate?
jamesw6810 80
pump part number is---1H2614217CModule number is --- 3A0907379E they need to match for it to work the E signifys the ESP part of the system, so youll need that to match....how many pump pistons does the pump have and the ecu?
Marneus 78
That's the same one that I put on mine. The one I took off had pump number 1H2614217E the ECU number is the Same as yours. The new one I put on is the same as yours above both pump & ECU so it should work
