B7D VR 35
Hey guys, as my cars parked up for winter I wanted to take the manifold and get it polished, any idea on who does this or anyone you know ? I'm from Luton but don't mind dropping it off. Not too far thoThanks
Lukey. 381
Don't fancy putting in some elbow grease yourself? B7D VR
daveyboy 897
You can buy polishing kits off eBay that you attach to your drill and polish it that way. It's a million times easier than doing it by hand with wet and dry and wd40 Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk B7D VR
VR6Pete 1,455
I got a flap sanding wheel for mine, an 80 git, attached to a drill take off texture, hot knife through butter. Then used wet and dry down to 3,500 grit and then used my polishing mops I got from frost. Turned out ok! Of course, I'd always advise taking off the car first as it's 100x easier. I also had my manifold vapour blasted along with other engine bay items to give the rest of the manifold a good finish... Club Chairman vr6mikey

Lukey. 381
A sanding block for a start. Otherwise you'll have ridges, never finger sand.
Ickyketseddie 89
For the price you can get a drill and kit for why not just do that and save yourself the aggravation and effort? Especially if you were gonna pay someone anyway?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

A decent power drill and a mop kit off eBay will do the trick nicely mateSent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
Lukey. 381
A rubber block, some WD40 and various grades of sandpaper cost nowhere near as much as a drill and a sanding kit.
Ickyketseddie 89
No one said it did, I just said it doesn't cost much. How'd you go through life without a drill anyway? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk VR6Pete
VR6Pete 1,455
Every man should own a drill and hammer and possibly some cable ties lol Club Chairman Ickyketseddie

Lukey. 381
Where's gaffer tape and grinder? Those with a drill hammer and cable ties you can fix anything! Edited November 27, 2013 by Lukey. vr6bailey
daveyboy 897
I agree with Lukey you've gotta have gaffer tape in you essential collection. Anything's possible with those basic tools. You could even do a A-team grab a cardboard box and make a tank that'll withstand nuclear missiles out of it with your essentials lol Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk VR6Pete
