djmac 1
Hi all, just a quick question! ive noticed when putting the thermostat housing back together that i have snapped a BLUE wire, leading to the BLUE sensor! Just wondering what issues this will cause and if i can run my car without it connected? If not ill have to find the same clip and just solder it into the loom, Cheers Dan
Solution VR6Pete 1,455 Posted November 29, 2013 Solution Report Share Posted November 29, 2013 Blue temp sensor tells the ECU the temperature of the engine. It's quite important and will probably make your engine run lumpy and possibly over fuel. Should be a simple job to solder back up and use wire heat wrap to make it neat
djmac 1
Thanks for the info, the wire has pretty much snapped inside the plastic on the connector so cant get a good connection, i think i will have to get a new clip and re-attach it into the loom VR6Pete
