Holy crap! We should go into business between us making very heavy but nice looking coffee tables! I've got one spare box which will go in my red one eventually as it's got a quaiffe diff in it. Sold the other spare I had for £90.

I want an Uprated LSD but there not cheap!

I had 3 complete engines for £70 from a local guy who was emptying a barn he used to build cars in. 1 of them has bottom end rattle, other 2 seem all good. But no gearboxes with them. And unsure of mileage.

Have you seen the chairs made out of inlet manifold, they look cool too.

No I've seen those, got a spare or two about as well! Hopefully sell some of it off soon as I can't stand clutter!

Started cleaning, painting and buying new bits of hose etc, for the charger set up, going for an oe look with the charger, minimal shiny bits;

Got sent a couple of decent photo's of mine from Sunday on Facebook so thought I'd put them up here for all to see, especially those like Bealieboy who's scared of Facebook

And started getting other go faster bits cleaned up and ready to fit like the supersprint manifold that's been laying in the shed for way to long!

Another little update, been very busy steeling all of the go faster bits off of this rotbox to go on mine and trying to sell bits of it to pay for it all......... well at least in the end it should of all cost me somewhere around that magic £200 mark I reckon !!

So far I've had the 312mm front brake set up and got the calipers cleaned and painted and bought a set of drilled mtech discs and mintex pads;

The gear turret/shifter which has been modded by the Phirm to be quickshift which I've refurbed with new bushes

All back together and greased up with the cables from the donor car as there's an invoice for them not many miles ago so they should be like new

The supersprint manifold heat wrapped (never again b@5t@rd job!)

And the inlet manifold and fuel rail painted up and fitted with the red injectors and 4 bar fuel pressure reg;

Almost ready to start bolting bits to mine now! Hopefully all in time for Gti Springfest!!

Took the VR to work today, where it'll be staying for a couple of weeks so there goes all my lunch and tea breaks for a while! got straight to work stripping it down; amazingly the manifold unbolted from the head with only one stud snapping even the heatshield came off with no problems! Got the schrick off and all of the airbox, carbon canister and other gubbins to make some space;

Then got the car into the corner off the workshop so you know things are getting serious!

More pushing on with this, who needs lunch breaks and stuff anyway! Short shift is in;

Apart from the extended part I'm not sure what else has been done to it, but it feels a hell of a lot better though! Manifold out;

And new one in;

Then got bored of laying underneath it and over the engine bay so started on the brake's. Old;

New!

Though a bit of trimming on the caliper was needed to clear the tyre pressure sensors on the back of my wintercults!

Whilst taking apart the schrick mani today to check if it had a plastic flap as advised by Vince at Stealth (apparently they have a habit of falling apart when supercharged, mine is metal) I thought that I needed to do something with it and I'm not a big fan of polishing so I did this;

All put back together with stainless Allen bolts, what do you think?

The last couple of days have been quite productive as I could do with the car out of the workshop sooner rather than later! As you can see;

Though I've still managed to get a couple of bits done, removed my sump and I wasn't to keen on this;

So a little while back I knocked this up and forgot about it;

After drilling a hole as high as possible in the sump for the oil return ( the sump from the black car was ruined and the hole was a bit low I thought) cleaned up some of the rust on the sump and plug welded the plate on, but not to much welding incase of putting to much heat through the sump and warping it. tacked a few bits around the side for good measure;

Ground down

A bit of primer;

Then I was painting a set of wheels gloss black for a customers S2000 so used the dregs for the sump

Thanks mate! Part of my thinking behind it was that if.......sorry when I hit it again in the same place near the sump plug I'll be able to weld the plate up without having to weld the actual sump! Hopefully!

Just the usual, always seem to get all or nothing though! Galliard Homes like to keep me busy with Range Rovers and X5's which is what you need to drive around central London apparently! The X5's got a massive dent on the roof which they have no idea how it happened! it also looks f-ing hideous in white!

There should be a certain club members Highline in there soon as well if D11PS ever gets his down here!

Got a few more bits done this week, not as much as I would have liked as works been busy and I've been waiting on bits including the longer belt for the charger that's coming from America and is silly expensive!

Popped into the local pirtek to get a new fittting for the oil return into the sump and ended up with a complete new oil return; a

Changed the plugs and leads while it was all apart and 3 or 4 of the plugs weren't much more than finger tight which may explain it being a bit down on power at the rolling road day?

Then got the schrick back on there;

And realised how much of a different angle the throttle body is with the Schrick! So had to cut the boost pipe that had just been paintedand re-angle it; it's just tacked in place for now until I get the belt.

Also bought an R8 oil cap as I'm trying to break up the sea of black with a little bit of sparkle!

And spotted some strut top mount covers the other day so ordered a pair to help neaten things up;

At the moment it's looking like this;and not looking very likely that it's going to make it to Springfest next week . Gutted!
