It's alive! https://vimeo.com/127356810 Another box ticked on my bucket list.......own a supercharged car! Love that noise!

Got a few more bits done this week, not as much as I would have liked as works been busy and I've been waiting on bits including the longer belt for the charger that's coming from America and is silly

Finally had some time recently to get a start on fitting the air ride onto the car, I managed to get a hardly used Airlift V2 digital set up with twin compressors at reasonable price, Started with s

Quite proud of this old girl after running faultlessly to Leeds and back to VW festival, there can't be many cars that can do nearly 175,000miles then can take someone bolting a supercharger to the engine! Now to get it booked into Stealth for a proper mapping session, can't wait! 0de093d0f84e5d9b61b167a18ac4cc47.jpg433df8f6cab41a3d774ac0a2208360bd.jpg%7Boption%7Dhttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/17/0cf754e65840e703722b56d044527b70.jpg[/img6e24c9fa902681857af1476ad0c98e0c.jpg

Sounds like you're a lot more into it than me, I just wanted a pond so I could throw food in there and stare at fish after a shitty day of working on cars! might have to have a chat with you about ulcer problems though, lost a couple this year!

Anyway back onto the correct subject! These turned up yesterday BBS Avantgarde design S in 8x17 5x100; 2eb3d615da8d5693a16a0e4ba6bd49f8.jpg113fcc3cfd90bebde850bb1c0417d25c.jpg

Ordered up a 195/40 17 nankang ditch finder pro or whatever it's called to give one a try, 5c719430b175e9d1333bf598d057ec9b.jpgTook her into work today as the sun was out, got the air con re gassed; 1543dbceb4960bd6f932994686a66e93.jpg it's all working spot on nowI'm sorry but you can keep your cleaned bays and I'll keep my a/c complete with messy pipework

Then got home and tried the wheel and tyre on with a 15mm spacer as they're Et32 but it seems that 15mm is a bit much so going to get some 10mm spacers and go from there; 0f4426da4a1e46f04767fef390ac1770.jpg5a0dd415c77e03f0a695c9a5ad6036e2.jpgcb40118d2ef59e11e985b69a8a664be5.jpg

I like em! I think and from what I can make out they're pretty dare I say it...........rare!

Maybe I need to sell some wheels now

Nice wheels mate Price on the Gold ones maybe??

However what I really wan't (if you get the time between fitting wheels) is a write up or little how to on how you took on the stone chips.  After a chat at VW Festival you said you dabbed a few in and flattened them back.  The finish was perfect...  A little guide maybe I could make a sticky in the body work section!!  Need to do my own but no matter how I do it they end up looking like a teenagers forehead fuck sake...

Also have a massive key scratch on my 300 I want to tidy up....

Only if you don't mind sharing your secrets chap..

That looks a lot different now Ben. What's with the ditch finders though?!

that was the only tyre our suppliers had in stock in 195/40 17, though I may get brave and try a 185/35 17 which would be almost the same rolling radius as my 195/40 16's on there now, only nankang make those though! I don't want to have to wind my coilies up that's against my religion!

Going to get these wheels on the car then I'll decide whether to hord sorry keep the comps just in case I change my mind......... I'm gonna need a bigger shed I think.

Yeah I'll try to put a little how to together, the only problem is, it takes a long time in between colour/clearcoats for it to dry properly and you really need to do it with 2 pack lacquer so it drys as hard as the surrounding lacquer, as 1k lacquer will never dry as hard and it just polish's away if you get what I'm trying to say........... basically it's a right ball ache!

Been busy this last week with the car, first I got the Eurospec 280mm rear discs that were on the black VR I broke machined as they were quite badly corroded after sitting on that car going nowhere for a couple of years, luckily the car had done hardly any miles with them fitted so they had loads of meat left on them, this was before fitted the black Golf; 94e064b197113b4f442b78b11a380c6a.jpg

Discs after being machined by a local machine shop;688d30afc715b3aace0671b7affeaaa8.jpg

Next to the standard size disc;3844eaa7e363cd8f0bd43398ded1297d.jpg

Removing the caliper spacer bracket from the old axle, needed a bit of heat to get them off;02e165b86b4b9f9026c11c63598176b8.jpg

Old discs and heat shields removed;318604a4011e8f66d33f0bde1bd470c6.jpg

Then all back together; b00ec7c6a995e9103243496515b5bf51.jpg

Then half of the reason for putting these brakes on was my new wheels now make the brakes very visible, so got them on with the super skinny 185 tyres on, ride height and spacer size still needs playing with; 5ba70e02739390d8445fb2550949f6f9.jpg3b163ba50a0e7cb34b39b9bfb980d2d4.jpg7d1d3700558925360830c78ab023ab7f.jpg
