bennyk 1,238
Just put a set of original smoked rear lights in the golf (as it came with hideous crystal rear lights when I bought it) and I think I might prefer them over my red black reds that I put in there. A bargain at £10 the set from Paceo and they're mint! What do people reckon? VR6CABBS 1,311
I guess we all live a very sheltered life on these cold winter nights All stalking ebay and the dub sites for bargains. A little off topic but just grabbed myself a pair of these beauties. Gotta be quick on that ebay because that bennyk's got eyes like a Bombay shitehawk and snaps up all the bargains. HahaHow much did you pay for the visors Cabbs? Bargain or not?! Wanna see a pic of them in I keep thinking about buying a set, though I'm not paying the scene tax on the matching black interior light sun roof switch though, ridiculous what they go for!!! Looks like the supercharger might be off, hopefully being swapped for most of a turbo set up!! After spending some time with a friend of a friend who's just finished his mk2 Vr turbo sleeper, but mostly because of driving through the A1M Hatfield Galleria tunnel with him and the screamer pipe I'm sold!!! So with that in mind I finally got my new fuel tank ( supplied by Paceo and picked up by Bealieboy, cheers boys!) changed today because of the rusty filler neck ring,I gave it a good clean and fitted an uprated fuel pump in there first good for 320lph and supposedly better and quieter than a walbro? And not to expensive at £75 delivered. Also used the stainless tank straps that I've had sitting around for ages on there after shortening them a bit because they were about an inch to long! Here's a couple of pics; Cleaned tank; Uprated pump; Old tank coming down complete with rusty straps; New tank up there nice and clean; And amazingly it fired straight up spluttered a couple of times then ran perfectly, which makes a change as usually when I do anything mechanical on my own car things go wrong! VR6CABBS 1,311
The visors were £24.00 pound pal including postage of fleabay. He did have another set on for the same price but just had a look and there gone pal. I had a few sets on watch but the last minute bidders killed the price and they were going off for about £45-£50. No chance I was paying that. Haha. Nice work on the high flow pump and straps. I'm more excited that I can see snap-on tools scattered about the floor. Haha. I've got a serious addiction for snap-on. Haha. bennyk
daveyboy 897
I was after a set of black sun visors to go with my new alcantara headliner and ABC pillars but seen the price there going for so I'm just going to get mine flocked to match
Big J 283
I could do with a black headliner to match my colour concept pillar trims. Did you make yours Dave or get it done somewhere? Always wanted a set of genuine red black red rear lamps too Sasar

Plus it'll be good to have a few spares. Anyone got any idea what it costs to have something like a subframe powder coated? Not something I've ever had done. VR6CABBS 1,311
Your defo a magpie mate. Haha. Had my subframe powder coated on my GTI CC. Cost me £40.00 but I had to clean or they wanted £60. I just coated it in paraffin then jet washed it at 120 degrees. It was spotless when I'd finished.
