Daverse 175
Turbo siezing becuase the bearings are shit? Or pushing oil out? Or manifold cracking? Intercooler core leaking? VR6Pete 1,455
A few people have run them on here and are prone to going wrong. You get what you pay for I'm afraid when it comes to tuning a VR6. Club Chairman
Swivelonit 119
I have a turbo off ebay and it is very well finished and compared to other high end turbos feels, looks and measures up to be a good comparison. My car is not a daily drive but when I get around to fitting I will report back on how good/bad it really is. VR6Pete
Earwig 89
I have heard many horror stories about them. The worst of which, but also sadly quite common is the bearing going to hell and getting sucked into the engine.... That is something you really don't want to be happening. The VR has always been expensive to get power from. For a Turbo set up you need to spned upwards of £3k to get something that you can trust and be reliable. Best bang for buck is a supercharger, but for overall power output, then Turbo is the way to go. What you scrimp on now, will only end up costing you a small fortune I'm afraid. VR6Pete 1,455
The stealth turbo kit is really starting to become popular! Drive in and out service for around 4.5k and it's reliable and pretty much looks like it's always been there from factory!Club Chairman
Earwig 89
Would love one, but then..... £4.5k is such a huge amount of money to spend..... :-( VR6Pete
Swivelonit 119
Going back to the Ebay/toyo turbo kit, if you want to achieve 2 bar of boost and 450bhp+ I would imagine the kit would struggle with this but if you are looking for a starting point, 7-10 psi boost and 80-100 bhp increase would they be ok then? Less loading etc
