Airbag resistor

As above I've just got a omp steering wheel obviously with out and air bag, anyone know what rating resistor I need so my light isn't on?

I would just put a bit of electricians over the bulb to save dicking about soldering a resistor in. That's what I'm gonna do when I put mine on

I think it's either 3.3 ohm or 33 ohm, can't remember.

Yea but I still want the passenger bag to work, the resistor just slots in to the airbag plug so no soldering or anything anyway just makes a circuit

I removed the airbags from my seats and used a 2.2ohm resistor from Maplin for 60p, I also think you can buy an airbag delete kit but these are around £15.

This is the one I got with a second hand steering wheel the other week, not sure of the resistance though, need to check it, the black and brown wires are for the horn.

 Yellow bit and red wires are the airbag resistor.

Check the resistance with an volt meter on ohm setting

3 Ohms resistor from memory . Don't know what model u have but my vagcom can turn off belts and s/wheel if aftermarkey parts r fitted.

VCDS will also do this but once disabled the airbag light will illuminate, that is why I have installed 2 ohm resistors to the seat loom, the resistor I have for the steering wheel also gives a reading of 2.2 ohms.
