I dont know if the golf/corrado uses the same setup, but I have one powered fan, which drives another via a small belt. I bought the car with a dead head gasket, and found on strip-down that this belt was sitting in the bottom of the fan shroud. The problem I have now, is the fans keep throwing the belt. I have changed the belt driven fan, as the last one had a couple of chunks missing out of it, changed the fan shroud as we thought it might be bent, and bought a new belt from vw. I still have the same problem, so I know have a freshly rebuilt VR6 im too scared to drive. Anyone got any ideas??Oh and where can I get a front screen from (without resorting to £180 from autowindscreens).Thanks guys,Craig. Link to post Share on other sites
Hiten 0 Posted May 17, 2005 Report Share Posted May 17, 2005 mine used to do that too. i have corrado vr6 fans and rad in my mk2 golf. the problem i had was the fan shroud was bent.check the pulleys on the both fans,one could be damaged Link to post Share on other sites
