damian8588 11 Posted February 22, 2014 Report Share Posted February 22, 2014 Hi its come to that time where im going to do the timing chains been looking through some posts and cant work out which part numbers I need can anyone help Im looking for all the part numbers for the chains tensioner s ect.. Jakeyb 23 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Share Posted February 23, 2014 if you ring up VW or TPS car parts and ask if they could help you, if you give the chassis number they will tell you what parts numbers are specific to your chassis code. OBD1 will be twin top chains if im not mistaken . my personal choice would be to buy OE if you can or at least make of very highly quality as its not a job youd want to do again twice in a hurry .. check the timing case covers aswell as people have a tendency to over tighten bolts in them and strip threads and casues oil leaks. plus get a new rear main seal Link to post Share on other sites
