OurVR6 2
Just bought these alloys on eBay and waiting for them to be delivered. I want to buy tyres on line too so they got here at the same time. Not sure what tyres are needed though. Anyone know what tyre size these need? I've read on line that standard 6.5x16 are 205/55/16. Is this correct? Thanks in advance A pic:

OurVR6 2
Ended up buying 205/55s.
Marneus 78
Are these going on a mk3 of mk4?If mk3 then them tyres won't fit. The standard size for the 16" wheels are 205/45/16 which I have on mine. 205/55 tyres will not fit under the arches....
andymk312v 15
That's a big balloon of a tyre, as above probably won't fit the best.
CALICO 130
Think that's the size for mk4 golfs as Marneus says 205/45/16 google tyre bible that gives all the info you need for tyre sizes and offsets
OurVR6 2
Balls. Mk3. I went to the local tyre place and they said 205/55. I guess I'll just have to send them back.

Wasn't clear on what tyre I needed. I understand what the different markings mean but just wasn't sure what size to get for these alloys.
CALICO 130
Go to page 4 the standard wheel and tyre size is 205/50/15 Difference in circumference:76.61mm or 4.33%So when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 73.03mph Near the bottom TYRE SIZE CALCULATOR http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html#ixzz2uMIifiV3 Edited February 25, 2014 by CALICO
Marneus 78
I use willtheyfit.com as you type the sizes in you're thinking of & it gives you the rolling radius/how far in or out everything would move.
