Have you tried in bolting both shocks & letting the axle drop down so you can get at them properly? That's what I do everytime I need to work on the rear calipers as there's just no room otherwise.

If you lower the axle right down you should be able to hammer an old, slightly oversize torx bit in then undo that.

That's what I done to snap the head off it lol. Snapped flush too, guess my only option now is a screw extractor but I'm not holding out much hope as where it's snapped it's only a little bit of good metal in the centre, outsides rusted so I'm guessing it's well jammed in there

I soaked mines in ud40 then took them to the vice and tightened the vice on the bolt.
