bennyk 1,238
Just after any help or advice about car covers,if all goes to plan I should be bringing the golf home with me on Saturday, but unfortunately I haven't got a garage and I'm dreading bits of birds crap etc touching the paint I've spent the last 3 months slaving over.I'm expecting to spend £100 plus and I'll probably only be taxing the car 6 months or for the summer so it'll be under wraps all winter so it's gotta be good! Thanks for any help in advance Ben.
Big J 283
I've got a really good waterproof breathable medium cover from halfords mate. Really pleased with it, and a really good fit. Don't know on price, Father Christmas brought it down my chimney Edited March 13, 2014 by Big J
jamesw6810 80
ditto on the halfords one, medium size and £50, very good and it does not scratch, fully machine polished my vr6 and its been coverd 4 times since and no swirl marks.
bennyk 1,238
Thanks for the replies. What are the linings made of? Been looking at a couple on eBay that are fleece lined.
jamesw6810 80
dunno, but its upto you what you buy, one off ebay no ones used or one from halfords that has been used by 2 people and given great reviews? Fleece lined is brilliant as long as they are watertight and multi layered. Never a drop of rain on mine and more importantly no scratches:)
Lukey. 381
I got the halfords professional one too. For the money it's very good. If the one you're looking at on eBay is Clarke mine totally ripped after a bit of a windy day, the halfords one has 3 tough under car straps Edited March 13, 2014 by Lukey. jamesw6810 80
yep, the 3 straps are pretty tough aswell, i took a punt after seeing a few reviews and very pleased, their tools are also top notch.
