AIT swap from 1.8t wiring colours

I just wondered if anyone could help me out with some wiring colours

 

I have swapped my AIT in the manifold for a 1.8t one as supposedly it might make a slightly better readings on air temp but unsre what wires to solder

 

existing wiring from a 1995 corrado vr6 obd1

 

green/black and also brown/white with the existing wiring

on the sensor i got from a 1.8t in a passat are red/black and grey and white.

 

any ideas?

Hi, i believe that the temp sensors are just thermistors, so it shouldnt matter which way the polarity is, if you have Vag-com you can see what the readings are.

ok ill check with a multimeter and crack on

 

only a 50/50 chance itll be wrong

I cut the original plug off mine and extended the wiring, I think it run smoother and pulls harder through the revs aswell

same here mine dangles near the airbox, i keep meaning to fix it correctly ;-)

U should be able to use the exsisting plug, just extend the wire to desired location

yeah its all good,3.69 ohms or something either way round on the sensor so just on with soldering it together,got the new sensor for the gear tower to do now as changed to a 02j selector set up
