coullstar 2
I have to admit that the standard VR wheel is a bit like a bus wheel so I am looking alternatives. Looking for something a bit smaller and chunkier. What do you have? Feel free to post pics. Also I take it you have to get the airbag disabled to fit a new wheel. How is this done and can you keep the passenger one activated?
acf8181 0
i'm fortunate that mine has the early, pre-airbag, 'rado type wheel as standard (as its an early car)....its quite small and really chunky!thats only been put back on as i'm selling the car, i did have a momo millenium on it. binliner 0
If you're not that 'fortunate' removing the airbag is a piece of cake.... with the ignition off undo the 2 allen bolts at the back of the steering wheel and remove the airbag, unplugging it as you do... passenger one will still work (trust me I know!) The airbag light will stay on unless you plug a resistor in where the airbag was to fool the ecu into thining its still thereI've got an Isotta wheel and chrome boss... not that clear in the photo though[ Edited Wed May 18 2005, 08:00AM ][ Edited Wed May 18 2005, 08:01AM ]
