Big J 283
You need to brim it again and see how many liters it takes to fill it. Then it can be calculated.
Bealieboy 1,625
Blimey, that's only 22-25mpg tops. I get 27-37 out of mine, it's only when the car doesn't warm up that it gets dreadful economy. Get an injector cleaner through it a take it for a run somewhere, that would be a low cost action that you could try to improve mpg with. That + empty some lead out of your right shoe. :-)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited April 8, 2014 by Bealieboy

Big J 283
I only ever used to average 21-23 ish when I used mine daily, driving a 14 mile commute each way at the time. That was normal everyday driving, no heavy foot. I think paceo MPG is about right really. Even now I only get 24-26 from my mk6 R, that's only a 4 cyl!

vrswagen 0
I just ran 282.2 mpg out of my last tank an it was mixed highway (65-75mph) and city (35-45mph) driving. Ended up refilling and the mileage came out to 23mpg. Sounds like normal numbers from what I've read on here. This is my first post - but I've been in the Facebook group for several months now. CALICO 130
I used to get 240 out of a tank regularly never got much more unless I was driving like miss daisy I did get 36 mg following a lorry back from Bristol to London but that's not what you buy a vr for. If you want economy buy a diesel

Bealieboy 1,625
Redex, stp, forte, Lucas, wynns are some manufacturers I can think of and I expect there's many more. Some of these are available at local motor factors and halfrauds. All help to clear deposits built up in the combustion chambers and can restore lost hp's, some have octane booster too. (See fifth gear's corrado episode for results of injector cleaner) I think that clip is on our video section somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vr has a 55 litre tank and will always have 4 litres or so left in the tank on empty. If you did your 282 miles to 50 litres that would equate to 25.65 mpg. My vr must be abnormal then, I regularly get good mpg figures, even pottering about. Perhaps I ought to check it's got 6 cylinders! LolSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I refilled just before my fuel light turned on - but I calculated how much fuel I put in over the mileage I drove on that tank, so it equalled out to be 23.0136. I'm fairly confident I could have picked up another 10-15 miles before truly emptying the tank.
Bealieboy 1,625
Ok, I've just realised you're US gallon is smaller than a U.K. gallon. That's why you're getting 23 mpg as opposed to 25.65 when I calculated it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
