Chris355 0
Hey there people,Have notice that sometimes when hot and in traffic my VR idles a bit odd, it sort of fluctuates, not by much but enough to notice it, I have a K&N 57i (without a cold air duct) and a supersprint zaust.Any clues? (should I be worried) is it because its just sucking in too much warm air?
28v6r 0
Sounds more like the Idle Stabilisation Valve needs cleaned out or that you may have a vacuum leak somewhere. Go for the latter first and check using Carb Cleaner (Available from Halfords) and spray on all the hoses from the air intake. If there is a leak then the Idle will pick up Slightly as the cleaner is a richer source of fuel. Next, Clean the Idle valve located under the shroud and behind No1. Clean well with the same until spotless then lubricate with some 3 in 1 oil. Refit the valve. Now!! DON'T PANIC AT THE NEXT PART... The Idle will go higher than normal for a time as it recalibrates itself to the ECU . Then it will settle down to a nice even Idle.Regards28v6r
