ScallopDiver 4
can anyone tell me what could be the problem with my drivers side wheel i know its at an angle in comparison with the other side but whats causing it? a guy at the garage told me a bent shock so i got new suspension and its still like that and i dont think there is any camber adjustments as its just 2 bolts the the shock
Lukey. 381
The bottom ball joint has about a cm of in and out movement, if the driver is all the way in and the other all the way out it could show a noticeable difference between each side. I'll take it you made sure if there's any spacers that they are the same thickness.
bennyk 1,238
I would say a possible bent hub if the shock has already been changed, seen things like this a few times on accident damaged stuff over the years,if that doesn't work you might want to start looking at if the turret is in the right place incase it's had a smash at some time in its life. mattvr6 133
Mine has adjustable camber the shocker bolts or oval not round Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bealieboy 1,625
I reckon it just needs a geometry set up. Mine was doing exactly the same till I had it done. Looks perfect now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk damian8588
ScallopDiver 4
ok so the turret is fine, i know it needs new wish bone bushes and ball joint which i have just not got round to fitting them yet. it was fine till i had her up on a trolly jack and let her down to fast then i noticed he wheel at the angle its at so too it to the garage where he said it would be a bent shock so i changed them but its obviously not that, so maybe its like bennyk says and its a bent hub from the drop off the jack? i dont know what it is but its really annoying me
ScallopDiver 4
would a drop off a trolly jack bend the hub though?
Lukey. 381
Slipped ball joint bolts sounds more likely as a first point of least resistance, or even just the shock mounting bolts, they are slots for some movement.Mine were looking similar to yours but on both sides, like looking at an X5 from the back, full on camber, it was all just because it needed proper alignment. ScallopDiver 4
cheers Lukey, i will change the ball joints and new rod ends and than see what its like and hopefully while doing these things i get to see what the problem is. mattvr6 133
Slipped ball joint bolts??!! That's new to me,I'd get everything changed that's fucked then go get a 4 wheel alignment done!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
damian8588 11
I have this same problem and I took it to a guy who said what luckey said in first post which is how you adjust the geometry of the car after adjusting you will need a wheel alignmentSent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

Surreyvr6 199
If you have recently changed your suspension the position that it's sitting when you tighten the lower 2 bolts can cause it to sit funnySent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bennyk 1,238
You wouldn't bend the hub from dropping it off of a jack, id change the wishbone and ball joint if it needs changing anyway then go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lukey. 381
if changing the ball joints youll need the 3 bolts and the little triangular brackets too, they will need hacking up to get the current ones off
