PKD-VR6 0 Posted May 18, 2014 Report Share Posted May 18, 2014 Hello new to forum, started stripping my mk2 vr6 engine this week and pulled pistons out, i feel a raised lip at top of cylinders does this need re-bored?Any help appreciated Link to post Share on other sites

tonygti 22 Posted May 21, 2014 Report Share Posted May 21, 2014 mate i just rebuilt my bottom end and had a lip ur talking about,the reason thats there is because thats the top of the piston and piston ring doesent go up that far i honed my bores but dont worry as long as the bores aint worn alot its fine but put new rings in Link to post Share on other sites
