cpfcvr6 6 Posted June 3, 2014 Report Share Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) as title, is it necessary to skim the golf vr6 2.8 cylinder head? my headgasket is weeping and im replacing with a metal gasket and decompression plate! if yes how many MM safely get away with skimming it for? or will i be ok?? it doesnt overheat now and no oil / water mixing. regards - thanks for the info guys your all great!
