ibs 308
Hi all my name is ibs and I have owned my second vr6 for 4 years now although shes been sat in a garage for the last 3 years rotting away! This was because of some idiot who crashed into me and decided to do a runner and me not having the time to get it sorted at the time. I bought her already fitted with koni coilovers and a supersprint backbox. The only thing I did was put the b5 rs4 style wheels on it which I had laying around and had the windows tinted. Here is a pic of her... D11PS, GT53BAD and damian8588
ibs 308
Ok ok time to cut out the crap. This build thread is not actually for my 5 door vr6. Its actually for my 3 door which I recently bought a few weeks ago! She has only covered 57k miles and has had more services than you could ever imagine! Completely rust free and will be the perfect car to work my magic on. Here she is my 3rd vr6..... GT53BAD and Bealieboy
ibs 308
One of the first few things I did was swap over the wheels from my 5 door so that it looked abit different to an oem vr6 while I chose the actual wheels I was going to go with.... GT53BAD
ibs 308
The other thing I got one of my mates to do was take out the leather seats from my 5 door and to fit them into the 3 door as it only had the standard cloth interior. He also managed to take out the wiring loom for the heated seats and re-wire it into the 3 door... GT53BAD
ibs 308
Next on the list was a set of coilovers. After reading many reviews on here and other sites I opted for the AP coilovers which I bought online from Demon Tweeks. Edited June 14, 2014 by ibs GT53BAD

ibs 308
Had some 215/45/17 Federal tyres laying around from a few years ago so decided to get them put on to see how it looked. Had to use 10mm spacers on the front and rear otherwise on the front the wheels were rubbing against the calipers and on the rear they were rubbing against the coilovers. ibs 308
I'm not liking the 215/45/17 tyres they look to chunky and the rear ones have been completely ruined from scraping against the arches. Only drove the car for around 20miles and the rear tyres are good to get thrown in the bin now!!
daveyboy 897
Put 205/40/17's on mate you really want a 40 profile tyre on. 205's will give you a nice stretch on the rears and put 195's on the the fronts. They'll give you a little more clearance from the arches too Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

ibs 308
So I was reading the forums for a couple of weeks about people doing the 312mm disc upgrade with S3 TT etc calipers and carriers. I picked up some calipers and carriers that had just been refurbished with new seals etc. The only thing now is I put a caliper side by side next to the orginal caliper and they both look exactly the same size?? Why is that? Is it the inside of the S3 caliper is deeper that allows you to fit the 312mm disc? These are the ones I bought...
Lukey. 381
The callipers are the same apart from the S3 should have a piston a couple of mm bigger, the carriers to space the calliper out are the important part ibs
VR6CABBS 1,311
It's looking cool pal. I bought a 3 door highline a couple of months ago with 53000 on the clock so there is still some fine examples left out there. I've bought quite a few things for her now so it's just a matter of getting time to get cracking with the mods. ibs

ibs 308
Just bought some Porsche 944 leathers. The colour is very rare these are the only ones I have seen for sale in a very long time! I wonder how much work will be involved in getting them to fit my car. Will also see how nice the rear ones look in the car and possibly fit them in aswell. Drivers seat bolster needs a repair and i have been quoted £100 to get it looking fresh again from a local company. Bealieboy, GT53BAD and Caddyslammed

daveyboy 897
I was looking into that a year or 2 back and apparently you have to chop your mk3 runners/bases up and weld the to the porsche seatsDo you think the rear seats will fit?
