mrslippery22 2
Today my horn in my 98 glx jetta started honking when I turn left what could be the problem?Sent from my VS930 4G using Tapatalk
Lukey. 381
Probably the horn wire insulation has worn away somewhere and it's shorting on metal and completing the circuit
cactusjackslade 146
As lukey says almost certainly a faulty wire or connection behind the airbag
mrslippery22 2
So that involves taking the steering wheel off right?Sent from my VS930 4G using Tapatalk
Lukey. 381
Pop the airbag off first and you can have a look at all the wires, there'll be 2 Allen bolts on the back side of the wheel, undo them and the airbag will be freed. You can either hold it out of the way while you check or if you want to disconnect it take the battery cables off half an hour before first.
