Bealieboy 1,625
Hi fellas, how quick should the fan cut in after a 20 min drive, motorway 65-70mph then a bit of traffic? Today isn't overly warm, just a bit suprised the fan came on so soon, although I do appreciate the vr6 likes to run hot. Temp gauge and oil temp was fine. Any comments welcome. Bealieboy 1,625
No mate, it doesn't work. A120 plus a bit round stortford and when I pulled up to yours the fan was running. Same when I got home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bealieboy 1,625
That's pretty normal mate nothing to worry about really!thanks, just struck me that it didn't get that warm. Perhaps I'll have a drive round with the diagnostic thing plugged in and see what temps are showingSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bennyk 1,238
I wouldn't worry to much if all your gauges are reading ok, just keep an eye on your water level. I'm sure mine runs on when I pull up sometimes.
Rick's RadoVR6 27
My mk3 did the same! I have an uprated rad in my corrado from psi which keeps the temp around 75 to 85 and cools the engine for two mins once ignition is off
Bealieboy 1,625
I check water and oil most times before I drive it, so all is well under the bonnet, gauges read fine too. I've notice that the expansion tank when cold is a little low to the max, but when running it's a little above. Perhaps I'll stick some water wetter in. Lukey. 381
when cold the coolant should be up to the min level
